Sightseeing in Boston

 Boston is a very nice city in the north-east of the USA in the state Massachusetts and well known for its highly ranked universities and colleges. Boston is a medium sized city with around 620.000 people living here. The interesting thing about this city is its mixture of modern buildings and historical architecture. It is one of the oldest cities in the USA. Some of its historical sights include the Massachusetts state house, the museum of Fine arts, Quincy market and the old state house. There is also a financial district which is home to modern architecture skyscrapers. The combination of green spaces with historical buildings in a relative compact area making this place very nice to walk around.

To see Boston in an efficient and enjoyable way it is worth to follow the Freedom trail which takes you to most places of historical value. As a first visit is a great way to orientate yourself around Boston and get a fair impression of what is there to see. The presence of the universities Harvard and MIT gives the city a place in the knowledge economy with many high tech and biotech companies being located here. It also attracts many students who make the city a lively place as they fill up the bars and restaurants. The best time to visit Boston is from April to October as the winter months can get a bit of snow.
